The Fondation Renaud – Fort de Vaise will be welcoming the work of Cai Yaling. In a bid to link the artists and the sites on Saint-Just hill, it will also be hosting a work by the artist Xiaojun Song, represented by the Françoise Besson gallery , in conjunction with the Mondes nomades exhibition at the Nouvel Institut Franco-Chinois.
Cai Yaling’s exhibition, an artist living in China, will feature previously unseen works produced during a residency at the Cité des arts in spring 2024, organised by Yishu8 - Maison des Arts de Pékin. This collection of acrylic and Indian ink drawings on rice paper highlights the artist's rich Chinese and French cultural influences. Cai Yaling attaches fundamental importance to the representation of emotions linked to our everyday experiences, exploring and creating artistic forms that correspond to them and enable us to empathise with the works presented.
