Born from the will to make the relationship between Art and Territory one of the axes of development of the Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Veduta program proposes moments of encounter, dialogue, and shared creations that engage curious people, artists, works, and ecosystems.
It is a program that is defined over the long term, through a strong relationship between the actors and in a logic of co-construction which requires that the artists immerse themselves in the places and that the inhabitants take ownership of the projects.
In the context of the health crisis, which has weakened the possibilities of creating and acting collectively, the choice has been made to work from 2021 on a programme that favours a return to relationships and interaction, highlighting the importance of proximity, convivial tools that have been inherent to Veduta since its creation. These strong notions will be addressed in the project for the 2022 Biennial currently being written by the curatorial duo Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath.
