"galeriele 116art" contemporary art, opened in 2008. 5 exhibitions per year ( solo show) offered to living artists ( experienced or beginners, frenchs and foreigns), using all the media ay their disposal. In addition to the closed space, the gallery has a roof-terrace, and a garden to present sculptures and installations..Main criteria used in the choice of works: aesthetics, sens, and emotion.
For this exhibition at the 116art gallery, Delphine Caraz uses as raw material of her sculptures, pebbles, and all materials collected along streams and brooks. Based on what she calls " its textile heritage" ( whool shawl, sheets, aprons, balls of whool yarns thread...) the artist covers this raw material with these different tissus thus rendering the inner hardness of the material , a fragile outer shin, colored with various shapes and thicknesses. In this transformation , the tissus cracks , the artist likes the tension that appears which is established between the material and the gesture. The thread thus marks the transition, the transformation that takes place, that has taken place, that will perhaps take place...
