les minuscules are two performances including reading, music and dance on the subject of childhood, and in particular its little inhabitants who, often out of place, sometimes even disconsidered or mistreated, try to find their place in the great cosmic jumble we call world. they are the tiny people who, between the lines of our texts, trace a sinuous path ; but they're also us, those childlike souls trapped or repressed by our tall, haughty bodies.
in these two performances, we have chosen to cross not only the performing arts, but also our worlds, which reflect our diverse memories and backgrounds. thus, the texts of martine meirieu and zacharie gaudrillot-roy cross paths throughout the show, between long winding paths and fleeting reminiscences, finally coming together in snatches of text and unsettling evocations.
not only narrated, les minuscules will also be accompanied, not by the hand, but by the notes of guitarist and composer stéphane libert, as well as embodied in the gestures of dancer and choreographer ahmed slimani, who opens the piece with a soaring prologue in Mozartian accents.
