Venues and dates

As part of the 17th Lyon Biennale, paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures by three artists are displayed alongside objects and fragments from excavations and modern models and reconstructions.

Situated on the right bank of the Rhône, the archaeological site of Saint-Romain-en-Gal extends over several hectares and contains the remains of the residential and commercial quarter of Vienna, an Allobroge town and subsequently a Roman colony from the 1st century BC to the 4th century AD. On the banks of the river, in the continuation of the bridge that links Vienne and SaintRomain-en-Gal, the glass and steel, permanent exhibition building of the Gallo-Roman Museum rises above the ruins of the Lion House.
